Giffords was on Palin’s hit list

In March 2010, Repugnican Tea Party queen Sarah Palin-Quayle put Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ name on her hit list and indicated Giffords’ legislative district in Arizona with a graphic of gun crosshairs. Today, Giffords was shot in the head in Tucson.

We don’t know yet whether or not Jared Lee Loughner, the 22-year-old shooter of Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Tucson, ever saw Repugnican Tea Party queen Sarah Palin-Quayle’s Facebook-page hit list — which, along with Palin-Quayle’s Tweeted advice to “Commonsense Conservatives & lovers of America: Don’t Retreat, Instead – RELOAD! Pls see my Facebook page” (which contained her mapped hit list as shown above), I wrote about in March.*

Clearly, however, there are plenty of mentally unstable among us who take such advice as to “RELOAD!” and who take such symbols as gun crosshairs over an elected official’s legislative district quite seriously.

Rep. Giffords is No. 4 on Palin-Quayle’s hit list. Giffords made the hit list because she’s a Democrat in a conservative congressional district who voted for the same health-care reform bill that the Repugnican Tea Party now is trying to repeal.

Of course, members of the Repugnican Tea Party, such as Palin-Quayle and Repugnican Tea Party House Speaker John Boehner, are falling over each other now to express their condolences for the violence that the Repugnican Tea Party condones — and their claims that of course the Repugnican Tea Party does not condone violence!

Fact is, once the idea is put out there, repeatedly, that it’s OK to commit violence against elected officials with whom one disagrees, it kind of doesn’t matter who exactly suggests it (such as Nevadan Repugnican Tea Party U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle’s suggestion that “Second-Amendment remedies” might be necessary for those elected officials who just won’t do what we want them to do) or who exactly the suggested targets are; it just contributes toward making the idea of shooting elected officials whom you don’t like the new norm.

They will deny their obvious complicity in actual acts of violence, as the fucking hypocrites never admit their wrongdoings, but those of us few Americans who still value what is left of what we call our “democracy” have to hold the feet of the members of the Repugnican Tea Party to the fire for the violence that they promote. (Figuratively. [For now.])

*In that post, titled “Bricks and Stones Can Start a Civil War,” I concluded:

Today, bricks — tomorrow, bullets?

It would be interesting to see what would happen in the aftermath of a “tea-baggin’” fascist actually assassinating someone, and I have to wonder if the question isn’t whether that will happen but when it will happen.

Hey, sign me up for the next civil war! I’ll be happy to fight for the blue states! This next time, though, we need to finish the job!

You betcha!

I still feel that way, by the way. I prefer bloodlessness, but if it’s a bloody civil war that the wingnuts want, I still say: Let’s give it to them!

Christine ‘Man-Pants’ O’Donnell wins in Delaware, assuring Repugnican loss

Christine O'Donnell

Associated Press photo

Looks like she’s had a lot of practice: “Tea party” dipshit Christine O’Donnell won Delaware’s Repugnican Party primary today after having used sleazy, homophobic tactics. O’Donnell is such an unhinged wingnutty dingbat that her victory today virtually assures a Democratic win for the state’s U.S. Senate seat in November.

“Tea party” candidate Christine O’Donnell, whose main campaign tactic against her opponent, Repugnican Party establishment candidate U.S Rep. Mike Castle, was to paint him (correctly or incorrectly) as gay, won the Repugnican Party primary for a seat in the U.S. Senate for Delaware today.

The Sarah Palin-Quayle-endorsed O’Donnell — who shouted out to Castle, “Mike, this is not a bake-off; get your man-pants on” (whatever “man-pants” are) and whose campaign ad indicated that Castle has cheated on his wife with another man — is sooo incredibly bad that the state’s Repugnican Party says that it won’t support her for the general election. Reports The Associated Press:

Despite her win, O’Donnell will enter the fall campaign as an underdog to Chris Coons, a county executive who was unopposed for the Democratic nomination.

Republican officials said as the votes were being counted the party would not come to her aid if she won the primary, citing a string of disclosures about her personal finances and other matters.

The state party chairman, Tom Ross, said recently she “could not be elected dogcatcher.”

I can’t see “tea party” dipshit Sharron “Second Amendment Remedies” Angle winning the U.S. Senate seat for Nevada in November, either.

It’s long been recognized that while wingnuts often can do well in Repugnican primaries, they often struggle in general elections, as the general electorate doesn’t share their wingnuttery.

I wish the “tea party” many continued victories in Repugnican Party primary elections in the future.

Palin-Quayle on God, guns ’n’ grizzlies

Former Alaska Governor and 2008 Republican vice ...

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin

Associated Press and Reuters photos

The 46-year-old Sarah Palin-Quayle pontificates in front of the National Rifle Association’s annual convention yesterday just before its cross-burning ceremony. Palin-Quayle’s juvenile, Valley-girl-like word choice, intonation and body language should come as no surprise, given that her main means of political communication is Twitter.

I would say that the 2008 presidential election never ended for Repugnican Sarah Palin-Quayle, who refuses to go the fuck away, but it’s more accurate, I think, to say that her 1984 beauty pageant never ended for her. Indeed, the former Miss Alaska pageant contestant (she lost that contest, too) reminds me of a former Miss California Carrie Prejean

— who has gone on to become a right-wing politician two decades from now, replete with the cross pendants

Associated Press photo

— that both Palin-Quayle and Prejean prominently publicly display as proof of their favor with God and Jesus.

Palin-Quayle is in the news yet again, telling the KKK-like National Rifle Association yesterday that surely President Barack Obama would ban guns if he could, and that it’s up to God’s warriors like she and the members of the NRA to prevent that God-awful scenario from happening.

Um, Jesus Christ probably would ban guns, but that’s another blog post…

Actually, Obama The Great Centrist never would ban guns* — he’s way too pussy to do anything radical — but the message that “President Sambo is a-gonna take away yer guns!” resonates well with the white-supremacist crowd that Grand Dragoness Palin-Quayle was addressing yesterday.

Probably even more ludicrous, though, than Palin-Quayle’s lie that the black president is after whitey’s arsenals is her assertion that she also made yesterday at another appearance that “mama grizzlies” — pissed-off Repugnican and other right-wing women, especially mothers, I’m guessing she means by “mama grizzlies” — are going to “rise up” and “take this country back.”

Aside from the fact that there aren’t enough far-right-wing women to hold a fucking Tupperware party, much less (much more?) take over the nation, I like the “mama grizzly” rhetoric, because this is what Palin-Quayle actually thinks should be done with grizzlies:

Yes, that is a photo of the wildlife-lovin’ Palin-Quayle in the governor’s office when she was governor of the Podunk State of the Great White North.

As Palin-Quayle is against women’s right to choose what to do with their own uteri, and supports the right wing’s subjugation of women in general, it is appropriate that she’s now blathering about her support of “mama grizzlies” when we have photographic evidence of the fact that she likes to pal around with grizzlies that have been slaughtered.

Indeed, like Cruella de Vil loved her Dalmation puppies, planning to make them into fur coats, Palin-Quayle thinks that mama grizzlies make great sofa covers.

You betcha.

P.S. Here’s a photo of Chatty Cathy Palin-Quayle at yet another event on Wednesday. I love the subtlety, don’t you?

Sarah Palin

*Indeed, The Associated Press notes:

Gun enthusiasts [that’s a nice, “professional” way of saying “gun nuts”] have trumpeted fears that their rights would erode under a Democrat-led White House and Congress, but President Barack Obama has largely been silent on issues such as reviving an assault weapons ban or strengthening background checks at gun shows. Obama also signed a law allowing people to carry loaded guns in national parks.

The new, ACTUAL axis of evil

Trifecta! Repugnican Sarah Palin-Quayle delivering the keynote address at a “tea party” convention covered by Fox “News” in February. If this isn’t a sign of the end times, I don’t know what is.

In my last post I invented the “Unholy Trinity of Wingnuttery” — FOX “News” and other right-wing propaganda outlets, the Repugnican Party and the “tea party.”

Timely, because today CREDO Action announced today that “After tens of thousands of votes, FOX News has earned the title of champion of the Bracket of Evil.”

Yes, Fox “News” beat out Sarah Palin-Quayle, the “tea party” dipshits, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Dick Cheney, among others, as the most evil person or group of persons in CREDO Action’s rounds of voting in its “Bracket of Evil” over the past month or so.

And speaking of FOX “News,” FOX “News” head honcho Rupert Murdoch recently had the hypocritical gall at the National Press Club to bash the New York Times as biased. (Non-fucktarded media, you see, have a “liberal bias.” Intelligence = socialism. Fucktardation = patriotism. God bless America!)

Murdoch even said this: “We have both sides in our news shows, our politics or whatever. We have Democrats and Republicans and whatever.”

Yeah, whatever. (Great public speaking skills there, Mr. Murdoch!)

Let’s see — FOX “News” has Repugnican Sarah Palin-Quayle on its payroll and covers the very same “tea party” gatherings that it promotes. But the New York Times is biased!

FOX “News” is a textbook example of how concentrated wealth and power in the mass media can subvert democracy into serving the interests of the wealthy.

The mass media, the “fourth estate,” are a critical part of the workings of politics, power and democracy, which is why the plutocratic elite control so much of the mass media and furiously are consolidating media outlets so that common Americans have fewer and fewer options and get their information from fewer and fewer (corporate, of course) sources.

It’s funny that it’s FOX “News,” because it’s the fox guarding the henhouse. Oh, yeah, thechickens can trust the fox to give them reliable, fair and balanced information that is in thechickens’ best interest.

Also in the news is one of the other branches of the Unholy Trinity of Wingnuttery, the “tea party” “movement.” Reports The Associated Press today:

St. Paul, Minn. – Several tea party leaders announced plans [today] to form a national federation to promote the movement’s conservative message and to counter the idea that the tea parties are politically unsophisticated and disorganized.

Tea party leaders from Memphis, Tenn., Richmond, Va., and Orlando, Fla., along with representatives of several other groups announced the new National Tea Party Federation during a rally outside the Minnesota Capitol. They said 21 tea party groups around the nation had joined the federation.

Memphis Tea Party founder Mark Skoda said recent media coverage had questioned whether the conservative tea parties, which number in the thousands nationwide, were too loosely organized to be politically effective in the national midterm election.

He said the federation intends to convey a unified message about the tea party’s brand of fiscal conservatism, which emphasizes limited government, less public spending and free markets….

Um, “federation” or “confederacy”?

Looks to me like the election of the nation’s first black president has many Americans (a minority, but still a sizeable minority, and certainly a vocal one) wanting to form a separate nation again…

As far as the third branch of the unholy trinity — the Repugnican Party — goes, it’s hard to say how much FOX “News” harms vs. helps the party. It seems to me that having a networkdedicated to your “cause” could only be more helpful than harmful. Sure, FOX “News” solidifies those of us on the left, but FOX “News” also misinforms millions who believe everything that they see and hear on the tay-vay.

If the “tea party” splits the Repugnican vote, however, that could spell real trouble for the Repugnican Party. And the “tea party” also is driving Repugnican candidates even further to the right. Notes Yahoo! News:

… [The] popular anger stirred up under the [FOX  “News”] network’s auspices may not be an unqualified boon to a GOP facing a tough primary season that pits many “tea party”-style insurgents against candidates aligned with the national [Repugnican Party] organization.

Two of the most prominent such races are the [U.S.] Senate contests in Florida and Arizona, where two more compromise-minded mainstream candidates, Charlie Crist and John McCain, are fending off challenges from candidates backed by the “tea party” — and running strongly to the right of their usual positions as a result.

Beyond the primaries, the GOP is looking to make significant headway against the Democratic majorities in Congress — hoping even to return the House to Republican control. But to do that, Republicans will have to overcome their disadvantage in voter registration in many districts by appealing to independent voters — and those are the very sorts of voters most likely to be repelled by an angry ideological message….

I would think that the “tea party’s” influence on elections would cause more overall long-term harm than benefit to the Repugnican Party. The more right-wing candidates can win the Repugnican primaries, but they struggle in general elections except in the redder regions of the nation.

White supremacism and racism, misogyny and patriarchy, homophobia, “Christo”fascism, xenophobia, jingoism and militarism — to name just a few of the “values” that the “tea party” stands for, whether it will admit it or not — do not appeal to those demographic segments of the nation that are growing, but appeal only to certain demographic segments of the nation that are shrinking.

The “tea party,” aided and abetted by FOX “News,” it seems to me, very well might end up speeding up the demise of the Repugnican Party.

In the meantime, I remember when “President” George W. Bush named, in his 2002 State of the Union Address, Iraq, Iran and North Korea as the “axis of evil.”

Funny, because Iraq certainly never posed a threat to the United States, and thus far Iran and North Korea haven’t harmed the United States, but FOX “News,” the “tea party” and the Repugnican Party eat away at the fabric of our democracy every fucking day, bringing us closer to ruination of our nation than the members of the unelected Bush regime’s “axis of evil” ever could hope to – without their having to launch a single missile, or, indeed, having to lift a single fucking finger.

Is this the face of the future?

This undated photo provided by the San Mateo Sheriff's department ...

Associated Press photo

So this 48-year-old virgin (well, if I had to bet on it, I’d put my money on his still being a virgin) was arrested by the FBI yesterday for allegedly having harassed and threatened Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi via telephone.

The Associated Press reports that

Several federal officials said [the man] made dozens of calls to Pelosi’s homes in California and Washington, as well as to her husband’s business office. They said he recited her home address and said if she wanted to see [her home] again, she would not support the health care overhaul bill that since has been enacted.

The wingnut, Gregory Lee Giusti, of San Francisco, at least actually resides in or around the district that Pelosi represents…

The AP gives some interesting tidbits about Giusti, such as that he apparently managed to speak directly to Pelosi via telephone at least once, but I found this one to be the most interesting:

Sister Lorna Walsh, community operations manager of the Mercy Housing complex where Giusti lives, said he had lived in the subsidized housing for almost 10 years.

Subsidized housing?

Um, isn’t that socialism?

What kind of follower of Ayn Rand is this guy?

But seriously, this guy seems to have significant emotional and social issues, and he’s just the kind to be riled up by the right wing, with its talk of “reloading” and fighting the “tyranny” (um, democratically elected lawmakers and leaders democratically passing legislation is democracy, not “tyranny,” just because you disagree with them ideologically).

Of course, when one of these wingnuts really goes off the deep end and kills someone, or maybe blows some shit up, killing many, the right-wing noise machine will claim no responsibility whatsofuckingever.

Yet all you have to do is go over to the Repugnican National Committee’s website and see things such as a PhotoShop job of Nancy Pelosi engulfed in flames, reminiscent of the good old days of witch burning, or see her on the RNC’s home page (as I type this sentence, anyway) portrayed as a wicked puppet master.

Pelosi isn’t the democratically elected speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, you see.

No! She’s an uber-villainess who must be destroyed!

Hey, I’m all for free speech, but if anything serious happens to Pelosi or to President Barack Obama or to one of the other favorite targets* of the Trinity of Wingnuttery — the Repugnican Party, the “tea party” and FOX “News” (I’ll include Rush Limbaugh and all of the other wingnut commentators with FOX) – then we have that unholy trinity to blame. Squarely.

I don’t peruse the wingnut blogosphere — I find that idea as palatable as taking a trip to the bowels of hell — but my guess is that the wingnuts already are making a martyr out of Giusti, ignoring the fact that threatening the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives is a federal offense, and are asserting that she-tyrant Nancy Pelosi will have the FBI come get you next!

Pelosi and Obama are the two Democrats the wingnuts hate the most; Pelosi’s main crime is that she presides while possessing ovaries, and Obama’s, of course, is that he presides while black.

I’m not sure which one of them the right-wingers hate more, and perhaps it’s a quandary for them as to whom they should hate more: the liberated woman or the black guy. (The RNC, at least, seems to use hatred of Pelosi more than it uses hatred of Obama in order to raise money. I mean, isn’t “Pelosi” Italian for “Satan”?)

What this nation really needs is a black lesbian president.

Then, the wingnuts will just spontaneously combust.

*Speaking of targets, I just can’t post this graphic from Repugnican and “tea party” queen Sarah Palin-Quayle’s Facebook page often enough:

And I find it interesting that Palin-Quayle has been involved with all three branches of the Trinity of Wingnuttery, the “tea party,” FOX “News” and the Repugnican Party.

War on right is war on ignorance

My boyfriend and I were in a Borders bookstore last night, and in the politics section I saw a paperback copy of Hannah Arendt’s The Origins of Totalitarianism on a shelf right above Glenn Beck’s hardcover Arguing with Idiots. (That Glenn Beck should accuse others of being “idiots” with “small minds” — that’s mind-blowing…)

I picked up and placed the copy of The Origins of Totalitarianism immediately to the right of Beck’s Arguing with Idiots, giving something of the effect above, as it seems so appropriate: If Beck wants to dress and act like a Nazi, well, then, if the jackboot fits, then he should wear it (and he probably does wear jackboots, prancing around in them in private…). And further, it seems to me that Beck and his ilk indeed could be the originators of an American totalitarianism that would make the Taliban jealous.

Of course, the battle between the left and the right rages beyond the politics sections of bookstores, where it’s common to see books representing the political opposition (usually progressives) turned around so that their covers are obscured. (Books featuring the visages of our lesser-evolved primate cousins also have appeared juxtapositioned to books whose covers feature Barack Obama’s face. Ha ha ha! Racism is so funny!)

President Obama has even chimed in on the national political “vitriol,” but the common assertion that the left is just as guilty as is the right in denigrating the national political discourse — a myth that even Obama himself occasionally parrots, in an apparently well-meaning but woefully misguided attempt to be fair and balanced, to spread the blame around, whether it’s actually factually accurate to do that or not — is fucking bullshit.

The right always has been more rabid, more racist, more ignorant, more hateful and more willing to resort to aggression to get what it wants than has the left. In the past decade alone, the American right resorted to stealing presidential elections, started a bogus major war, and gave the rich such tax cuts that, coupled with the hundreds of billions of dollars sunk into the bogus Vietraq War, resulted in a record federal budget deficit that the right now blames on Obama, and the right has created a surreal, down-the-rabbit-hole national political climate in which it’s deemed perfectly fine to piss hundreds of billions of the taxpayers’ dollars away on the war profiteers, such as Dick Cheney’s Halliburton, but it’s “socialism” to actually spend a fucking penny of the taxpayers’ money on the taxpayers

And I don’t recall any leftists having spat on Repugnican lawmakers on Capitol Hill during the eight long nightmarish years of the Bush regime’s unelected rule, or calling them epithets, or hurling bricks through their office windows. I don’t recall any Democratic politicians talking about “reloading” and using the symbol of a gun-sight crosshairs to target their political opponents.

I only wish that the peacenik lefties were nearly as guilty as are the wingnuts in being rhetorically or even actually aggressive.

Lefties almost always have to remain above it all, such as how Al Gore had to remain above it all and just allowed Team Bush to steal the White House in late 2000.

The results of “remaining above it all” and just allowing the wingnuts to wreak their havoc upon the nation are plain to see in the smoking ruins of the nation that the treasonous members of the unelected Bush regime left behind when they finally were forced from the White House. There comes a point where “remaining above it all” no longer is remaining above it all at all, but is a dangerous dereliction of duty to democracy.

Also at Borders last night I saw a copy of Chris Hedges’ Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle, the premise of which, I understand from its back cover, is that the switch from a primarily print culture to a primarily audiovisual culture has resulted in a dangerous dumbing down of the United States of America, a danger to the nation’s democracy, which cannot survive when so many of its citizens are dumbfucks. (I’m buying Hedges’ book on amazon.com, as paying full cover price when I don’t have to pains me too much.)

I’m all for greater literacy, but just as it has hijacked our democracy, the right wing has hijacked what remains of the print culture. Chillingly, I long have seen far more wingnut books than progressive books on amazon.com’s top-100-selling books list.

The right wing is busily rewriting American history to suit is ideology in a way that would make George Orwell’s history-revising Big Brother jealous. And the stupid-white-male authors and broadcast pundits who have the audacity to liken themselves to the nation’s founding fathers are as much like the founding fathers as the likes of Pat Robertson and the pedophile-protecting Pope Palpatine are like Jesus Christ.

Sure the wingnuts read books, you say — but they read right-wing revisions not only of American history, but right-wing revisions of American principles. And then they inflict their ignorance upon the rest of us.

In their “tea party” bullshit, the wingnuts actually equate the nation’s declaration of its independence from the oppressive English monarchy to their dislike of the democratically elected American president whom they don’t like primarily because he’s black and because their old-white-guy candidate lost the election, 46 percent to Obama’s 53 percent.

The wingnuts also have hijacked the term “common sense,” both as a noun and an adjective. Sarah Fucking Palin-Quayle can’t shut the fuck up about “common-sense” this and “common-sense” that, and, of course, Glenn Beck put out a book titled Glenn Beck’s Common Sense, as though a dry-drunk baby boomer like Glenn Fucking Beck is really on the same level as is Thomas Paine.

And that’s what the term “common sense,” as the wingnuts use it, is meant to achieve: It’s meant to say that you don’t have to be educated, that you don’t have to work at attaining knowledge and wisdom. “Common sense,” as Beck and Palin-Quayle and their ilk use the term, means that whatever utter bullshit that you pull out of your mentally lazy, ignorant, wingnutty ass is the gospel fucking truthbecause you say so.

In her chapter titled “Junk Thought” in her worthwhile The Age of American Unreason, author Susan Jacoby talks about “the folk belief in the superior wisdom of ordinary people.”

“Folk belief” there is the key.

Ordinary people can become intelligent and wise — but not without doing the work.

There are no shortcuts, although that is what the right wing promises its followers: Simply wearing a lapel pin of the U.S. flag makes a politician “patriotic,” and simply reading a book by Sarah Palin-Quayle or Glenn Beck makes one “politically educated.” (And, of course, simply declaring onself “saved” makes one “saved.”)

Listening to — or even reading — the likes of Beck or Palin-Quayle or Rush Limbaugh, because their retrogressive, reality-evading worldview is comforting in rapidly changing, rapidly diversifying times, doesn’t cut it.

Ignorance will destroy the nation, and the fight against the right wing ultimately is the fight against ignorance.

A return to a fact- and reality-based print culture, as many authors (such as Jacoby and Hedges and yes, even Al Gore) have recommended probably is the answer. The Internet, I suspect, already has been playing a large role in bringing Americans back from the purely audiovisual, purely one-way medium of television to an interactive print culture. Sure, there’s plenty of garbage on the Internet, but there’s plenty of quality stuff available, too.

I, for one, stopped watching television years ago, after all of the major, corporately owned and operated TV networks treated the unelected Bush regime’s illegal, immoral, unprovoked and unjust March 2003 invasion of Iraq as an entertainment or sporting event (“shock and awe!”) instead of covering it journalistically — that is, critically, intelligently and objectively. And I credit the Internet with having facilitated my political knowledge and activism.

Of course, the wingnuts are on the ’Net, too.

But the more that the nation returns to a fact- and reality-based national political dialog, the less the right wing can survive.

Ignorance is the right wing’s oxygen, and the way to snuff out the right wing is to deprive it of its oxygen.

FOX lynches LL Cool J

FILE - In this Nov. 19, 2009 file photo, LL Cool J arrives at ...

Associated Press photo

LL Cool J, photographed in November, has protested FOX “News'” attempted dishonest use of an interview that he gave in 2008 on Sarah Palin-Quayle’s new “reality” show, prompting FOX to fuck him over even further.

Fucking FOX “News.” Not content with showing video footage from other, larger wingnut protests to “report” on smaller, more recent wingnut protests, FOX now asserted that a celebrity rapper agreed to appear on Sarah Palin-Quayle’s “reality” show on FOX when he did no such fucking thing.

An interview that LL Cool J did in 2008 was slated to be used on Palin-Quayle’s show “Real American Stories,” airing tomorrow night. (If you are a Palin-Quayle or FOX “News” detractor, of course, then your story isn’t real because you are not a real American!) This gave the appearance, of course, that LL Cool J agreed to be on Palin-Quayle’s show on FOX, and prompted one wingnutty blogger to gloat that we progressives would be “shocked to find the alleged Grand Dragon of the tea-party movement making chitchat with a hip-hop legend.”

Um, Palin-Quayle still is the “tea party’s” grand dragoness, as I have called her myself because LL Cool J never agreed to be on her show. In fact, last night he Tweeted: “Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW.”

Not content with having fucked over LL Cool J once, FOX responded to his protest with this statement:

“‘Real American Stories’ features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith’s interview fit that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.”

Don’t you love it when the wingnuts pretend to be nice? Since they don’t use profanity, surely every fucking word that they utter must be coming only from a place of supreme love!

Let’s see — LL Cool J, whose birth name is James Todd Smith, goes by LL Cool J. Why would FOX call him “Mr. Smith” if he doesn’t go by that name himself? Using a title of respect, “Mr.”, in order to be disrespectful — leave it to the wolves in sheep’s clothing at FOX to do that.

But wait — FOX isn’t done lynching “Mr. Smith.”

FOX brazenly wholly falsely asserts that the reason that LL Cool J doesn’t want to appear on Palin-Quayle’s show is that he “does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others.”

No, LL Cool J’s problem, clearly, is with FOX’s dishonest use of his 2008 interview footage to make it look like he was willing to be associated with she-Nazi Sarah Palin-Quayle.

I’m sure that LL Cool J has no problem whatsoever with the inspiration of others — he just doesn’t find Sarah Fucking Palin-Quayle to be an inspiration to others. Neither do the majority of Americans who voted for Barack Obama, 53 percent, to the McCainosaurus-Palin-Quayle ticket, 46 percent.

But wait, FOX still isn’t done lynching “Mr. Smith” — FOX “[wishes] him the best with his fledgling acting career.”

Do you think that FOX really wishes LL Cool J the best? Really?

And “fledgling acting career” — isn’t that taking a swipe at his foray into acting?

But FOX and FOX’s supporters LOVE the black man!

Riiiiiiight!

We’re to believe that bullshit right after they’ve just lynched yet another one.
