Sick Israeli T-shirt ‘jokes’ about killing pregnant Palestinians and their unborn

In this photo taken March 16, 2009, an Israeli model poses with ...

Associated Press photo

Israeli soldiers have worn this T-shirt depicting a pregnant, presumably Palestinian woman and her unborn in the cross-hairs of a rifle. (According to The Associated Press, the Hebrew on the T-shirt reads “Sniper platoon.”) Because the Israelis are so morally superior, you know.

I’ve noted before that the Zionists are so quick to remind all of us of the Holocaust at every opportunity yet think that it’s perfectly OK to regard Palestinians and other Arabs as animals — just as the Nazis regarded the Jews during the Holocaust.

But this takes the cake (from The Associated Press today):

Jerusalem – Israel’s military condemned soldiers for wearing T-shirts of a pregnant woman in a rifle’s cross-hairs with the slogan “1 Shot 2 Kills,” and another of a gun-toting child with the words, “The smaller they are, the harder it is.”

The T-shirts were worn by some Israeli Defense Force soldiers to mark the end of basic training and other military courses, the newspaper Haaretz said.

The appearance of the T-shirts followed allegations of misconduct by Israeli troops during the three-week Gaza war. Palestinian officials say about 1,400 Palestinians were killed, most of them civilians. Thirteen Israelis died, three of them civilians.

The army said it would not tolerate the T-shirts and would take disciplinary action against the soldiers involved, although it was not clear how many wore the shirts or how widely they were distributed.

The military sought to portray the T-shirts as “tasteless” humor and condemned the soldiers involved, saying in a statement that the shirts “are not in accordance with IDF values.”

They were not manufactured or sanctioned by the military.

The shirts’ existence was first reported Friday by Haaretz and later on broadcasts by Israeli radio and television.

Haaretz showed pictures of five shirts and said they were made at the unit level — indicating that they were made for small numbers of troops, perhaps several dozen at a time. It said they were worn by an unknown number of enlisted men in different units. The Tel Aviv factory that made many of the shirts, Adiv, refused to comment.

Few in the Palestinian territories appeared to be aware of the T-shirts. In Gaza, Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said it “reflects the brutal mentality among the Zionist soldiers and the Zionist society.”

Hamas-controlled media consistently glorify attacks on Israelis, and cartoons in Palestinian newspapers frequently use anti-Semitic images of Jews as hook-nosed, black-hatted characters.

Hamas also mocked Israeli suffering, staging a play about its capture of an Israeli soldier in which it makes fun of the serviceman crying for his mother and father.

Israel’s military has come under increasing scrutiny after soldiers alleged that some troops opened fire hastily and killed Palestinian civilians during the Gaza war, including children, possibly because they believed they would not be held accountable under relaxed open-fire regulations. The military has ordered a criminal inquiry into soldiers’ accounts published in a military institute’s newsletter….

The Gaza offensive, launched to end years of rocket fire at Israeli towns, ended Jan. 18.

Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups fire rockets from heavily populated areas, and Israel says Hamas is to blame for the civilian deaths because it leaves the military no choice but to attack them there.

United Nations human rights experts said [today] that Israeli soldiers used an 11-year-old Palestinian as a human shield during the Gaza offensive. The military ordered the boy on Jan. 15 to walk in front of soldiers being fired on in a Gaza neighborhood and enter buildings before them, said Radhika Coomaraswamy, the UN secretary-general’s envoy for protecting children in armed conflict.

Israeli army spokesman Capt. Elie Isaacson denied the military used human shields, saying “morals and high ethical standards are paramount” in the army.

Uzi Dayan, a former Israeli deputy chief of staff, said he was “shocked but not surprised” by the T-shirts.

“I spent many years in the army and I know that if you don’t pay attention all the time, these things can happen. These are very young people in a combat situation, so you need to have a finger on the pulse,” he said.

You can’t make the “few bad apples” argument on this one. The Israeli soldiers don’t exist in a vacuum but are the product of their environment.

Americans should know what is being done by Israel, since Middle Easterners equate Israel with the United States, which keeps Israel afloat.

Rogue state Israel is making Ahmadinejad seem not so mad

Two interesting news items juxtapositioned today.

This one from The Associated Press:

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – Israel shelled the United Nations headquarters in the Gaza Strip [today], engulfing the compound and a warehouse in fire and destroying thousands of pounds of food and humanitarian supplies intended for Palestinian refugees….

U.N. workers and Palestinian firefighters, some wearing bulletproof jackets, struggled to douse the flames and pull bags of food from the debris after the Israeli attack, which was another blow to efforts to ease the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Dense smoke billowed from the compound.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who is in the region to end the devastating offensive against Gaza’s Hamas rulers, demanded a “full explanation” and said the Israeli defense minister told him there had been a “grave mistake.”

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who met with Ban later [today], said the military fired artillery shells at the U.N. compound after Hamas militants opened fire from the location. Three people were wounded.

“It is absolutely true that we were attacked from that place, but the consequences are very sad and we apologize for it,” he said. “I don’t think it should have happened and I’m very sorry.”

The U.N. Security Council requested a briefing on the attack….

Israel launched its war on Dec. 27 in an effort to stop militant rocket fire from Gaza that has terrorized hundreds of thousands of Israelis.

[Well, that is Israel’s stated reason, anyway. It appears to me that the actual reason is that the Israelis wanted to slaughter as many Palestinians as possible while they still have the cover and the blessing of the mass-murdering, unelected Bush regime.]

Some 1,100 Palestinians have been killed [since Dec. 27], roughly half of them civilians, according to U.N. and Palestinian medical officials. Gaza health official Dr. Moaiya Hassanain said at least 70 people were killed or died of wounds throughout Gaza [today].

Thirteen Israelis also have been killed since the campaign began….

The U.N. compound struck [today] houses the U.N. Works and Relief Agency, which distributes food aid to hundreds of thousands of destitute Gazans in the tiny seaside territory of 1.4 million people….

John Ging, director of UNRWA operations in Gaza, said the attack at the compound caused a “massive explosion” that wounded three people.

A senior Israeli military officer said troops opened fire after militants inside the compound shot anti-tank weapons and machine guns. The officer spoke on condition of anonymity pending a formal army announcement later in the day.

Ging, who was in the compound at the time, dismissed the Israeli account as “nonsense.”

Israeli shells first hit the courtyard filled with refugees, then struck garages and the U.N.’s main warehouse, sending thousands of tons of food aid up in flames, Ging said. Later, fuel supplies went up in flames, sending a thick black plume of smoke into the air.

U.N. officials said the shells that hit the compound contained white phosphorus, which is believed to have been responsible for burns suffered by some Palestinian civilians during the war.

“It’s a total disaster for us,” Ging said, adding that the U.N. had warned the Israeli military that the compound was in peril from shelling that had begun overnight. U.N. officials say they have provided Israel with GPS coordinates of all U.N. installations in Gaza to prevent such attacks….

Of course, if an Arab or a Muslim claimed an “oopsie,” no one would fucking believe it, but when global bullies Israel or the United States claim an “oopsie,” we are to take their fucking word for it, since they’re so fucking morally superior to every other nation on the planet.

If any other nation attacked a U.N. headquarters, that nation would be branded by the United States and perhaps also its allies as a “rogue” nation, and perhaps the United States would call for “regime change” for that “rogue” nation. The hypocrisy is infuckingcredible.

This other news item from The Associated Press today:

…In Tehran, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the fighting in Gaza has been “a great lesson for all,” saying it shows “the absolute defeat and desperation of [the Israeli] regime.”

He says that “even for the supporters of the occupying regime and its leaders, it has become clear that the continuation of the Zionist regime’s life in the region is not feasible.”

Israel says it launched the offensive Dec. 27 to stop rocket fire against southern Israeli towns by Hamas, which has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007….

As many death threats that I will receive from the Israel-firsters (kidding — I probably won’t actually receive any death threats), I have to say that I tend to agree with Ahmadinejad’s assertion that the existence of Israel isn’t working anymore (let’s face it: it never did; there has been only bloodshed since Israel was forced upon the Middle East after World War II).

However, there has been much more than enough blood spilled in the Middle East, so I am not calling for the slaughter of any Israelis.

It would be nice if they would just move somewhere else. (Ahmadinejad once recommended Germany for a relocated Jewish state, since it was the Germans, not the Palestinians, who perpetrated the Holocaust. Sounds fairly reasonable to me…)

That way, there would be much less killing and we could keep those billions and billions of our tax dollars here at home in the United States, where they are desperately needed, instead of shipping them off to Israel, which only inflames the Middle East and causes such anti-American blowback as 9/11.

Not that I have a strong opinion on the matter or anything.

Why Barack Obama is dead to me

I could just post these two news photos to explain why I’m not exactly moist, to put it mildly, over the inauguration of Barack Obama three weeks from today:

Three Palestinian children from the Balosha family, of five ...

In this Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008 file photo, Pastor Rick Warren ...

Associated Press photos

The second photo of the bloated baby boomer with the shit-eating grin is, of course, of Prick Warren, the homophobic stupid white man who, in the spirit of “inclusion,” Obama invited to give the invocation at the inauguration.

Gay most definitely is the new black if a black Democrat sees no problem inviting a homophobe to open his inauguration.

A gay male co-worker of mine recently stated that he isn’t going to let Prick Warren ruin the inauguration for him.

Oh, I am.

First we California fags and dykes were hit with the narrow passage of Proposition 8 on Nov. 4. I fully expect the California Supreme Court to strike down Prop 8 and reinstate same-sex marriage in California next year, as the same court ruled in May that the state’s Constitution mandates that same-sex marriage be legal, but as of today, same-sex couples may not legally marry in California. We don’t have equality. In only two states do we gay men, lesbians and other non-heterosexuals have equal marriage rights.

While we’re still reeling from Proposition 8 (and other anti-gay ballot measures that passed in the nation on Nov. 4), Obama picks homophobe Prick Warren to set the tone for his inauguration and he won’t back down from his incredibly poor political decision. You know, fuck “political.” This is a matter of Obama’s fucking character. He (presumably) isn’t gay, so he doesn’t give a flying fuck about gay men and lesbians.

I can’t just get over that like my co-worker can. I can’t just pretend that I don’t know what I know.

And with Barack Obama, if you are a progressive, that’s what you have to do in order to be jazzed about his impending inauguration: ignore certain things. Psychologists and pychiatrists have terms for such mental gymnastics.

Barack Obama doesn’t have my back. He no longer has mine. I regret that I gave him hundreds of dollars and I regret that I cast my vote for him. The only thing I’m glad about where he is concerned is that it wasn’t Billary Clinton who won the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, as he is the lesser of the two evils and as I doubt that Billary could have beaten Repugnican John McCainosaurus on Nov. 4. I was glad to help Obama knock Billary out of the race, but it’s been downhill with him ever since.

Yes, I suppose that there are larger issues than same-sex marriage, such as war and peace and right and wrong, and Obama is all wrong on those issues too.

The caption of the first photo above reads: “Three Palestinian children from the Balosha family, of five who were all killed in the same Israeli missile strike, are seen in the morgue before their burial at Kamal Edwan hospital in Beit Lahiya [in the] northern Gaza Strip, [on] Monday, Dec. 29, 2008.”

The Associated Press reports that the Israelis have slaughtered more than 370 Palestinians this past week in a campaign of aggression that world opinion, including the United Nations, has condemned.

Although Team Obama’s fucking mantra is that “there is only one president at a time,” Obama somehow found himself able to publicly state today that Illinois Gov. Rod “$enate $eat for $ale” Blahblahblahblah’s choice for Obama’s replacement in the U.S. Senate should not be seated because the scandalous Gov. Blahblahblahblah has zero credibility — and that Blahblahblahblah should resign.

While it’s nice to be able to agree with Obama on something for once, Obama’s statement on the gubernatorial hijinks in his home state probably more than anything else is meant to protect his own political ass from too much tarnishment as he assumes the White House next month. Standing up for what’s right when doing so serves oneself — well, that diminishes the good deed a bit, doesn’t it?

While he can speak up on right and wrong when it helps himself, Obama remains deafeningly silent on the carnage that continues in the Gaza Strip. Because it’s not his children whom the Israelis are dropping bombs upon. Obama rather now-famously said back in July: “If somebody was sending rockets into my house where my two daughters sleep at night, I [would] do everything in my power to stop that. And I would expect Israelis to do the same thing.”

OK, fine, but the Palestinian children whose corpses are pictured above: they were dangerous members of Hamas? Obama cares about the safety of the Israelis’ daughters and his own daughters, but what about the safety of the Palestinians’ daughters?

Did Jesus Christ teach that it’s OK to pick and chose which children’s lives are valuable and which are not?

Obama is a “Christian”?

Bullshit. A Christian follows the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Barack Obama isn’t a Christian. He’s a politician. That’s his religion. He doesn’t answer to a higher power, unless you count the American Israel Public Action Committee (AIPAC) — the Israel-first lobby — as a higher power.

“Change”?

Yeah, right — keep hoping.

P.S. How are my two questions to Barack Obama doing at change.gov?

Recall that my two questions, verbatim, are:

  • I’m a gay man who gave your campaign hundreds of dollars. You have invited homophobe Rick Warren to appear at your inauguration. How about you invite Rush Limbaugh to perform “Barack the Magic Negro”? C’mon, now! In the spirit of “inclusion” and all!
  • Are you going to treat the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with SOME degree of even-handedness and fairness or are you going to kiss Israeli ass, thus further enraging the Arab world and further putting the United States at risk for terrorist attacks?

Apparently neither question has been yanked from the site (yet…), and thus far the majority who have voted like Question No. 1 by 123 votes to 91 votes, or 57 percent to 43 percent, and the majority also favor Question No. 2, by 80 votes to 59 votes, or 58 percent to 42 percent. (No, I haven’t voted for myself or asked anyone else to vote on my two questions.)

Gee. So a clear majority of Obama’s strongest supporters — those who take the time and trouble to visit his site and vote on shit — agree with me that these two issues are important and that Obama is misfuckinghandling these two issues (or at least the first one).

What if I had posed the two questions in a “nicer” way? I’d have received even stronger support from Obama’s supporters.

Will Obama listen to his supporters on these two issues?

Um, no, probably not. Prick Warren appeals to the dumbfuck vote that Obama for some reason is courting (as though eight long years of American stupidity weren’t enough), and Obama listens to his pimp$ at AIPAC, not to his supporters or to the American people, where the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is concerned.

On proportion (and the lack thereof)

The Associated Press reports that thus far more than 360 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been slaughtered by the Israelis and some 1,400 Palestinians have been wounded in Israel’s latest massacre.

The AP notes that in the entire year of 2008, 17 — seventeen — Israelis were killed by those rocket attacks from Gaza (presumably by Hamas) that we hear so fucking much about as the excuse for the current bloodbath that the Israelis initiated a few days ago.

The Israelis’ current massacre has the full backing of the mass-murderous Bush regime, of course. Because, as I’ve said time and again, it’s only “terrorism” when an Arab or a Muslim does it.

P.S. I love these excerpts from a column by Salon.com columnist Glenn Greenwald and I thought that I’d share:

Opinions about the Israeli-Palestinian dispute are so entrenched that any single outbreak of violence is automatically evaluated through a pre-existing lens, shaped by one’s typically immovable beliefs about which side bears most of the blame for the conflict generally or “who started it.”

Still, any minimally decent human being — even those who view the world through the most blindingly pro-Israeli lens possible, the ones who justify anything and everything Israel does, and who discuss these events with a bottomless emphasis on the primitive (though dangerous) rockets lobbed by Hamas into Southern Israel but without even mentioning the ongoing four-decades brutal occupation or the recent, grotesquely inhumane blockade of Gaza — would find the slaughter of scores of innocent Palestinians to be a horrible and deeply lamentable event.

Yes, if you had any sort of a conscience whatsofuckingever, you would. Another excerpt:

One can travel from the farthest right fringe of the GOP to the heart of the Democratic Party leadership and hear exactly the same thing: Israel is always right. Israel must not be criticized. Israel never bears any blame. Any action taken by Israel is justified.

No matter the situation, that just gets repeated over and over like some hypnotic bipartisan mantra. Meanwhile, American citizens overwhelmingly — [by] 71 percent — want their government to be “even-handed” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Yet that view is simply ignored, disregarded, not even viable for any American mainstream political leader to express.

Yup; it’s a problem. Where it comes to same-sex marriage and treating the Palestinians with even-handedness, the Repugnicans and the Democrats are in lockstep. Israel’s shit just doesn’t stink. The Holocaust, you know! The Holocaust!

P.P.S. This AP news story puts the number of Israelis killed by rocket attacks thus far this year at 19, and the number of Israelis killed in the past few days’ fighting at four. This news story also puts the number of Palestinian dead at 364, with the United Nations saying that at least 62 of those were civilians.

It’s never terrorism when Israel does it

Smoke billows from the Gaza Strip following Israeli air strikes ...

A Palestinian security force officer from Hamas reacts as he ...

AFP and Associated Press photos

Smoke rises from Israel’s latest slaughter of Palestinians. It’s rather interesting how the victims of the Holocaust have become the victimizers, isn’t it? And how it’s always “terrorism” when an Arab or a Muslim kills someone, but never when an Israeli or an American kills someone?

The Associated Press reports that “Israeli warplanes rained more than 100 tons of bombs on security sites in Hamas-ruled Gaza Saturday and early Sunday, killing at least 230 people in one of the Mideast conflict‘s bloodiest assaults in decades.” More than 400 people are reported to have been wounded.

Do I get to point out that killing and wounding that many people is a bad thing or does that make me a Holocaust-denying (or Holocaust-loving) anti-Semite?

Well, OK, since I’m already a Holocaust-loving anti-Semite for having a problem with Israel’s latest slaughter of Arabs, let me say that the United States’ supplying of Israel with the bombs and other means to slaughter Arabs is one of the reasons that the United States was struck on Sept. 11, 2001. (That’s not just my conjecture; Osama bin Laden said so himself.) Of course, Americans never connect the fucking dots and they maintain that shit like 9/11 just happens in a vacuum.

The Bush regime, which just couldn’t kill enough innocent Arab and Muslim civilians in Iraq, already is defending Israel’s latest bloodbath on the Palestinians.

The United States’ continued support of Israel in its continued occupation of Palestine is a huge liability for the United States and always will be.

Maybe the Israelis just figured that they’d slaughter more Palestinians while they still had the blessing of the mass-murderous Bush regime.

But I certainly don’t count on Barack Obama to do the right thing once he takes office and to stop taking foreign-policy marching orders from Israel and the Zionists in the United States who put Israel’s interests first and who give big buck$ to American politicians to make sure that Israel’s interests come first.
